First Post - The Junction in Gowensville, Sc

One great little restaurant is called "The Junction". It is located on SC 11, about 5 miles from I-26. It is the last exit heading west before entering North Carolina. While traveling to this place, you will pass peach orchards and peach stands (worth your while to stop). It's extremely hard to miss the restaurant because it is located at a 4-way stop. It has a waterwheel in front and looks like an old country store. Well, enough about the outside. The food there is genuine country cooking. They even have fried green tomatoes. you can eat off of the buffet or by the menu. You can even eat on the porch sitting in porch swings. The locals swear by the place, its usually always busy at lunch and dinner (especially on Sunday). Don't be surprised to have to wait a little to get a seat. The deserts are excellent. Their banana pudding is home made (no pre-packaged pudding here). If you're heading on I-26 and are near the NC/SC border and looking for some home cooking (no McDonald's), this would be well worth the visit. Their address is:
Junction Highway 11 & 14
Gowensville, SC 29356
Phone: (864) 468-4675

Welcome!!

Welcome to our humble little blog! This blog is about memorable restaurants and attractions that we have visited while we have been out and about. This is by no means a professionals opinion, this is just the opinion of a family of six as we go out to see the sights.
